Welcome to our nest! We're Bonnie & Currier of Tenn Hens Design - two chicks wearing many hats. You will usually find us running to a press check, behind a computer editing, watercoloring, sketching, or tucking invitations into envelopes. Every day is different but hustling away is just how we like it.

Tenn Hens Design was officially launched in 2005, but the partnership between us began several years earlier when we were working as Art Directors at a Nashville advertising agency. After gaining invaluable experience working on high-profile local and national accounts, we took the (big!) leap and decided it was time to launch our own shop. Right away we started creating branding, advertising, and marketing materials for small businesses we aligned with.

In 2008 we had a bit of a shift. We collaborated on Bonnie's wedding invitation suite. It had these beautiful letterpress cards wrapped with bailing twine & placed on top of hay inside a green box that mailed to guests. The project really ignited a spark. We went crazy over the feel of letterpress, Currier started using her fine art skills and drawing more, and truly we just fell in love with the process of creating this one of a kind package that set the entire tone of an event. At first we didn’t know if it was shift we wanted to make, but we immediately had brides and planners interested in working with us, so it naturally started falling into place. All the good things were happening and a new calling was hatched.

"Every single item you created for the wedding was absolute perfection. Everything you created blew me away. I wasn't the best at articulating my vision the first few tries and despite my shortcomings, you nailed it. All of it. And then some."
